The Argentina Adventure — Episode 16

Flying across the country yesterday was an eerie experience. I have no idea how we got so lucky, but we ended up in Bozeman, Montana, pretty much on time.

Keep in mind, our route took us from Miami at 7 am to Newark back to Orlando to Denver and finally Bozeman at 9:30 pm.

And this is what the reader boards looked like:

I count more cancellations than on times.

We were so happy to arrive at the Lark hotel in Bozeman for some much needed rest. I’ll be sending a note to the nice young clerk who wanted our car keys because they valet park off-site. Sleep deprivation and PTSD from the Neuquén apprehension caused us to aggressively decline this friendly request. Sorry, nice young clerk!

The trip from Bozeman to our tiny piece of Podunk heaven — Salmon, Idaho — takes about 4 hours through country that is a match for the beautiful Patagonian scenery.

On the way to home sweet home.

And look, they saved us some snow!

I wanted to drop you all a line and let you know we’re home safe and sound, grateful, lucky, and self quarantined for the next 2 weeks. Thanks for joining Iron Chef and I on the journey, and for cheering us all the way to the finish line.

Take good care, and I’ll let you know when Season 2, the Re-Entry is ready to drop.

  2. Good to see a relaxed smile on the Chef/Travel Concierge’s face. So glad to hear you made it home. Thanks for the wry updates and descriptive photos on this amazing adventure. You kept it real and had me at the edge of my seat at times this past week.
